What the enquiry form collects
Your name, phone number, the suburb of the property, the reason for the enquiry, an optional settlement or unconditional date and anything you type in the message box. The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-handling service, which passes the message on by email. The call and form tracking described below also records how you reached the site.
Who receives it
Each enquiry is passed to the Auckland timber-pest operator who carries out the inspection or treatment, so that they can phone you, arrange access and quote. If the request is about damaged timber that needs carpentry, and you ask for it, your contact details and the inspection findings are passed to a builder so they can quote the repair. Your details are not sold, rented or added to marketing lists.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. Where an inspection or treatment goes ahead, the operator keeps the job record for as long as business, tax and product-use records must be kept in New Zealand.
Your rights
The Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to see the personal information held on you, and to have mistakes in it fixed. Send the request to hello@lignumtimber.co.nz, through the enquiry form or by phoning 09 801 2355, and it will be answered within twenty working days.
Call and form tracking
This site uses WhatConverts, a lead-tracking service, to find out what brought each caller or enquirer here before they asked for an inspection. A small script from WhatConverts loads on every page. When you arrive it notes the address of the page, the site or search that sent you, and the utm or campaign labels attached to that link.
The phone number you see here may be a tracking number supplied by WhatConverts, which forwards your call to the inspector. For calls it records the number you call from, when you called and how long the call lasted. Enquiries sent through the form are recorded by it as well, with what you typed.
WhatConverts stores this information on our behalf. It is used only to see which parts of the site bring enquiries and to follow up the enquiry you made. It is not sold, and it is not used to show you advertising. You can ask what has been recorded about your call or enquiry in the same way as any other personal information above.
